Programs and Initiatives
Trout Unlimited Canada (TUC) implements conservation and education programs across the country to conserve, protect, and restore Canada’s freshwater ecosystems and their Coldwater resources for current and future generations. Much of the work that TUC carries out is made possible by volunteers; corporate environment days present a great opportunity for members of the corporate world to get involved and help make a difference to Canada’s water. TUC’s diverse corporate programs are led by professional staff and are as educational and impactful as they are enjoyable. Our programs advance corporate social responsibility and may fit into your community investment initiatives.
Some of Our CED programs include:
- Fish Rescure in Irrigation Canals
- Cooling Streams Tree Planting
- Invasive Species Management
- Paint & Learn
- Lunch & Learn
- Make Seed Bombs
- CED sponsorship starts $5000
- Typical corporate environment days are great for a group size of 10-40 people (depending on the type of event).
- Programs are available in all provinces and territories. Some programs are available all year round.
- Organizations interested in a CED program are encouraged to register two months in advance to ensure availability.
- All necessary equipment and tools will be provided by TUC.
- All events are run by TUC biologists and professional staff.
- TUC employs safety and health standards to ensure the wellbeing of participants.

“This was a great opportunity availed to us to do something positive for the area and ensure it will be there for our kids.”
“Thank you for taking us out for a great day of volunteering. It was invaluable for our team to see just one of many remediation activities that are taking place in our watersheds. We all loved it and genuinely enjoyed getting to know you and the entire team.”
“Trout Unlimited Canada has been an incredible environmental partner for many years,” says Sammy Kobayashi, President and CEO of Canon Canada. “Their commitment to environmental sustainability and community conservation is exactly why we team with them for Branch Out, Canon Canada’s volunteer program that encourages employees to spend part of their day creating green spaces and sustainable environments around the communities where they live and work. Our employees always look forward to the activities planned for them. We know TUC will continue to do great work in the community.”

TUC’s work is guided by science and research and is powered by the passion of its volunteers and professional staff. As a leader in water and fisheries protection, TUC’s professional staff collaborates with volunteers and partners to safeguard natural spaces and enhance Canadian resources.
Trout Unlimited Canada is the only national freshwater conservation organization that places more work on the ground than any other.
