August 12-16th 2024
ALBERTA: Dismal Creek
Are you in the Edmonton area? Our Northern Lights Flyfishers Chapter is looking for volunteers to collect population data of Arctic Grayling in Dismal Creek between August 12 and 16. Volunteers will be assisting biologists in catching and measuring of fish. They should also be prepared to bushwhack, riverbank scramble, and wade between 4-8 km.
August 16th & 17th, 2024
ALBERTA: Casino
Volunteers will harvest and prepare live willow stakes that will be used for restoration activities. This involves cutting, trimming, and bundling willow cuttings.

World Water Week 2024 is centered on water cooperation, for peace and security in its broadest sense. The theme, Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future, asks us to recognize the regional and global interconnectivity of communities and nations, and underscores the collaborative effort needed to achieve a peaceful and sustainable future.
