Making Seed Bombs
Create explosive landscapes
Making Seed Bombs
The workshop begins by confirming seeds selected are native to the geographic region of participating corporate volunteers. A TUC biologist will demonstrate steps of making a seed bomb. TUC will provide ingredients enough to make up to 20 seed bombs per person.
Learning opportunities:
- Importance of seed bombs in replanting areas that suffered from drought, neglected lands and gardens.
- Standards and requirements for dispersing seed bombs.
- Identification of native plants by geographic region.
- Alternatives for disseminating seed bombs: donate to schools, toss on community gardens or designated office green spaces and woodlands.
