Saugeen River Headwaters

Chapter Presidents: Time Fischer & Chris Bianco

Area of Interest

The Saugeen River Headwaters chapter of Trout Unlimited seeks to protect, maintain, and preserve the integrity and beauty of the tributaries that feed in the Saugeen River in Southwestern Ontario.

Chapter Description

Saugeen River Headwaters Chapter was established by a group of local anglers with deep knowledge and reverence for the Saugeen River watershed. By employing science-based planning, consultation with local stakeholders, and consensus-based decision-making, the group aims to restore, improve and protect the Saugeen River headwaters. The group is specifically targeting the remaining cold-water tributaries and headwaters in the area downstream from TUC’s existing Happy Trout chapter.

Chapter History

The Saugeen River Headwaters chapter became an official TUC chapter in Spring 2021. The executive board is made up of a group of local anglers and environmental enthusiasts looking to put our passion for the Saugeen River into action.
